Cutera Enlighten III laser combines dual pulse durations: longer (2 nanoseconds) and shorter (750/660 picoseconds) pulse durations into one system, with three fully integrated laser wavelengths (532, 670, and 1064 nm) that enables it to resolve and clear tattoos of all ink colors, density sizes, and skin types in fewer treatments compared to that of the traditional lasers. 532 nm wavelength, the “true red” within the picosecond range of frequencies is used to target red colored ink, while 670 nm is effective at targeting difficult blue and green colored ink, as well as pigmentation or congenital skin discolorations. 1064 nm is the industry standard and is best for removing dark tattoos and can be used on all skin types. By using two different laser frequencies, the Enlighten III is effectively able to target different types of particles.
